How do I handle my teen experimenting with risky behaviors?
The instinct is to lock everything down, but strict control usually just pushes teens to hide things better. Shift from controller to advisor. Talk calmly, without accusing. Explain the real risks plainly, and make sure they know they can come to you in a crisis without fear.
