Question 1

Why would I need parenting guidance ? I'm already a parent

Accepted Answer

Because being a parent doesn't automatically teach you how to handle every stage your child goes through. Most of us learn parenting from our own parents, from people around us, and by figuring things out as we go. But the questions change as your child grows. What works with a 5-year-old may not work with a 12-year-old. And what worked at 12 may suddenly stop working at 15.Our courses and expert-led videos give you a chance to step back, understand your child better and learn practical ways to handle situations that can otherwise leave you feeling stuck.

Question 2

Do I need to be facing a problem with my child to join?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Some parents join us because they're struggling with something specific — screen time, discipline, studies, communication, anger or teenage behaviour.Others join because they simply want to understand their child better, become more confident as parents or prepare for the next stage. In fact, several parents who joined our programmes told us they didn't have a particular problem. They simply wanted to learn more about parenting. You don't have to wait for something to go wrong to become a more informed parent.

Question 3

What age children is Brightlife useful for?

Accepted Answer

Different programmes are designed for different stages of childhood, so there isn't one age range for everything we offer. You'll find the recommended age or parenting stage clearly mentioned on each programme.Whether you're parenting a young child, navigating the pre-teen years, figuring out adolescence or trying to reconnect with an older child, start with the programme that's relevant to your situation. And if you're not sure where to start, we'll help you find the right one.

Question 4

My child is entering the teenage years. Is it too early to join?

Accepted Answer

Quite the opposite. You don't have to wait until you're in the middle of a difficult phase to learn about it.Many parents join because their child is approaching the teenage years and they want to understand what's ahead — from changing communication and independence to friendships, boundaries and new challenges.Learning before you need it can make the transition a little less overwhelming.

Question 5

My child is already a teenager. Is it too late?

Accepted Answer

No. It's never too late to understand your child better. The teenage years can change the way you communicate, set boundaries and stay connected. If conversations have become harder, your child is becoming more independent, or you simply feel like you're not quite sure how to reach them anymore, our programmes can help you approach this stage with a better understanding of what's going on.You don't need to have got everything right until now.You can start from where you are.

Question 6

What if I don't know what's "wrong", I just want to become a better parent?

Accepted Answer

You don't need a diagnosis, a crisis or even a specific problem. You might simply be wondering: Am I communicating well with my child?Am I being too strict? Too lenient? How do I handle this stage better? What should I expect as my child grows? How can I build a relationship where my child actually talks to me? These are all good reasons to learn. Several parents in our programmes joined with exactly this motivation — to understand parenting better rather than solve one particular problem
